UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE
Over the years we have developed a lot of work for the University of Delaware’s hockey program. From a yearly print series featuring seniors for their annual poster, to logos and uniform designs spanning a decade. We couldn’t go without mentioning the photography of Tisa Della-Volpe for these projects, friend and photographer to the UD Blue Hens hockey program for years.
To date we have designed many logos for the University of Delaware, but our favorites are definitely these 2. First a 40th anniversary logo that made its way onto jerseys and apparel. Something the alumni association gripped onto and really showed support for. And any time you et to design a National Championship logo is always fun. We really love the 6 stars to represent the 6 banners that came before the National Championship (a detail that would later make it onto the rings).
The Barn has been producing jersey design for the University of Delaware’s hockey program for over 10 years. from 40th anniversary jerseys to one off specialty night jerseys that are raffled off to charity we have done it all.
In some of our most recent designs we have got creative inside a structured design because of a school wide adidas partnership. The detail we love the most might be that the teams personalized secondary logo is only on 1 shoulder, freeing up the other for patches (saving the team money on specialty nights that aren’t as big). Those details are the ones that make big difference to a team with smaller budgets.
POSTERS & SCHEDULES
Our yearly schedule poster designs have grown every year. They started off with a team shot over a decade ago. Now each senior has their own photoshoot and we create them into one of a kind posters that turn into a mini collectible each year. At times it can be hard to top the year before, but here are some of our favorites.

As our founder Nick is both an alumni of the University, and of this hockey program (as a player and coach) we have done all of this work pro-bono. It is one of the ways we give back to our local sport groups. It is fun having our hand in all the facets of a university program and seeing players grow up through a stories program.
