Branding a team based around an American icon and it’s craft of over a 100 years is no small task. Designing it so that story is told in a subtle way and for a younger audience was even more of a challenge. Wilson approached us to design this team for Wilson Premier Baseball, and it’s subtle design of an actual leather glove thread creating the L and into glove grommets fit perfectly.
We went through many iterations of what a “Lacer” could be, but paying homage to the actual glove itself was the perfect marriage of clean Americana and “rub some dirt it” baseball. Logo mark, secondary logos, shoulder patches, and even a custom script fully in our “leather lace” design brought this visual story telling all together.
Wilson Baseball knew how to bring our Lacers branding to life, and you couldn’t ask for better photography. This really shows off the depth of the brand we created with Wilson. From logos on jerseys and hats (to be expected) down to custom protective @evoshield gear, bags, and all manors of sideline gear (hoodies, shorts, training gear)

This project came out to be one of our favorite team brandings to date. With its mixture of clean design, traditional look, but in-depth story telling it hits all the marks we try to hit when creating what we call a “franchise brand”. And for us “the proof is in the pudding.” Wilson baseball liked this work so much they continue to use this brand and marks across a majority of their social media and marketing materials.
